National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS) โ Building Discipline, Leadership & Social Responsibility
The NCC Unit was established in September 2017 in the college under control of 38 NCC Chhattisgarh Battalion NCC, C/o 1 CG R & V Regt NCC, Veterinary College Anjora, Durg (C.G.), later the unit 38 CG Battalion NCC, Rajnandgaon (CG). Total 44 cadets (26 boy cadets SD and 18 girls SW) were enrolled in the unit during session 2017-18.
Self discipline, personality development and social service attitude in the students are being developed by involving in these activities in addition to improving academic qualifications.

Lt. Dr. Dikeshwar Nishad, Assistant Professor and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) was honorarily awarded “Lieutenant” Rank of NCC (Army Wing) by the successful completion of PRCN course of three months training at NCC Officer Training Academy, Kamptee (Nagpur) from 23rd July 2021 to 28th September 2021.
Cadet Ku. Neha Sinha (Senior Under Officer), NCC unit 38 CG Bn., student of B.Sc. (Ag.) 4th year at SKS CARS, Rajnandgaon secured First Position in Firing competition and awarded as “Best Cadet” (Girls) in CATC-24 camp held at Anjora, Durg during 02.12.2019 to 11.12.2019.
CATC 2019: Held at 05 CG BN NCC Raipur โ 20 cadets (10 SD + 10 SW) attended from 02.10.2019 to 12.10.2019.
CATC for B “Cert” Exam 2021: Held at Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalay, Pendri, Rajnandgaon โ 49 cadets (29 SD + 20 SW) attended from 01.03.2021 to 03.03.2021.
CATC for C “Cert” Exam 2021: Held at Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalay, Pendri, Rajnandgaon โ 21 cadets (15 SD + 06 SW) attended from 06.03.2021 to 10.03.2021.
CATC-10 for B “Cert” Exam 2021: Held at Govt Adarsh Mahavidyalay, Somni, Rajnandgaon โ 08 cadets (07 SD + 01 SW) attended from 22.11.2021 to 28.11.2021.
CATC-10 for C “Cert” Exam 2021: Held at Govt Adarsh Mahavidyalay, Somni, Rajnandgaon โ 24 cadets (10 SD + 14 SW) attended from 22.11.2021 to 28.11.2021.
CATC-1 2022: Held at BSP HSS Sector 8 โ 12 cadets (10 SD + 02 SW) attended from 04.07.2022 to 13.07.2022.
CATC-14 2022: Held at Delhi Public School, Rajnandgaon โ 27 cadets (26 SD + 01 SW) attended from 02.10.2022 to 09.10.2022.
CATC-26 2022: Held at 26 Girls BN NCC Raipur โ 08 cadets (07 SD + 01 SW) attended from 10.10.2022 to 17.10.2022.
CATC-24 2023: Held at 1 CG R&V Regiment Anjora, Durg โ 12 cadets (12 SD + 00 SW) attended from 24.11.2023 to 03.12.2023.
CATC-01 2024: Held at JLM Gayatri Vidyapeeth, Kesharnagar, Rajnandgaon โ One NCC Officer (ANO) and 33 cadets (21 SD + 12 SW) attended from 02.05.2024 to 11.05.2024.
Combined Annual Training Camp-2019 (CATC) held at 05 CG Bn NCC Raipur attended by 20 cadets (10 SD + 10 SW) from 02.10.2019 to 12.10.2019. During the camp, in the cultural program cadets of Pt. SKSCARS, Surgi, Rajnandgaon secured First Position in Group Singing Competition.
๐ฅพ Trekking Camp Maharashtra: SUO Manu Kumar and CPL Tushar Janghel successfully attended trekking camp at Kolhapur (MH) from 08 to 15 November 2024.
๐๏ธ Trekking Camp Himachal: Cadet Deepa Tiwari successfully attended trekking camp at Kangra, Himachal from 17.06.2024 to 26.06.2024.
๐๏ธ Army Attachment Camp: Attended at EME Unit Jhansi for 12 days โ Four cadets and one ANO participated from 05.01.2024 to 16.01.2024.
๐ข Awareness Drive: Awareness drive for youth was conducted by NCC cadets. Various activities conducted under NCC Unit.

All cadets participated in International Yoga Day events and given splendid performance.
All cadets joined the digital forum of NCC India website and posted articles, poems on relevant subjects.
All cadets successfully passed IGOT training (Integrated Government Online Training) with course title “2020 COVID-19 Training for NCC Cadets”.
All cadets took online pledge and yoga quiz on International Day of Yoga 2021 and received online certificates from Ministry of AYUSH.
Cleanliness drive performed by NCC cadets on ponds/waterbody of Village-Surgi and on statues of freedom fighters.
Approx 40 cadets participated in International Yoga Day 2022 and given splendid performance.
All cadets joined NCC India digital forum and posted articles, poems of relevant subjects.
All cadets took online pledge and yoga quiz on International Day of Yoga 2022 and received certificates from Ministry of AYUSH.
Pledges/Oath taken for safe environment, Swachhata Abhiyan, Nashamukti Abhiyan etc.
Awareness drive for youth was conducted by NCC cadets in adopted villages.
Developing Social Responsibility and Community Engagement Among Students
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a nationwide program aimed at developing social responsibility and community engagement among young people. Our college is proud to offer an NSS program that provides students with an opportunity to make a positive impact in their local communities while pursuing their academic goals. The college has common units of National Service Scheme (NSS) having a total strength of 100 students (50 Boys NSS Volunteers and 50 Girls NSS Volunteers) of B.Sc.(Ag.). The aim of NSS is to provide an opportunity and working experience for social services.
The orientation component provides students with an overview of the program’s goals, objectives and activities. This includes an introduction to the basics of community engagement and social responsibility.
Students participate in a variety of community service programmes such as literacy campaigns, health and hygiene awareness programs and environmental initiatives.
Students participate in skill-building activities such as public speaking, event planning, and project management.
NSS camps provide students with an opportunity to engage in village community service and skill-building activities in a more immersive setting, usually held in adopted villages.
Various cultural and national events celebrated every year at SKS CARS
International Yoga Day, Hindi Diwas, College Foundation Day, Gandhi Jayanti (Swachhata Diwas), Baba Guru Ghasidas Jayanti, Hareli Tihar, Akti Tihar etc. are being celebrated every year at SKS CARS, Rajnandgaon.
For overall personality development of the students, sports are also conducted as per university calendar every year at SKS CARS.
College has been organizing workshop on Moral Values and Personality Development for holistic development of students.
NSS is being run at this college since the inception of college (2014). Under NSS activities a 10 days camp is being organized every year to create awareness about social welfare services for the society.
NCC started in the year 2017 in this college for UG students under 38 CG Battalion NCC, Rajnandgaon.
